Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the North Carolina State Roleplay Community Management System (CMS), Discord server, FiveM server, or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must discontinue use immediately.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to participate in our community. By creating an account or submitting an application, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. Community staff reserve the right to verify eligibility at any time.

3. Account Responsibility

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including your Discord account.
• You may not share, sell, or transfer your community membership or account to another person.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• If you suspect unauthorized access, notify community staff immediately.

4. Community Conduct

All members are expected to uphold the following standards:

• Respect: Treat all members, staff, and visitors with respect. Harassment, discrimination, hate speech, and personal attacks are strictly prohibited.
• Integrity: Do not exploit bugs, use cheats, or engage in metagaming, powergaming, or fail-RP. Report issues through proper channels.
• Compliance: Follow all community rules, departmental standard operating procedures, and staff directives.
• Maturity: Maintain a professional and mature demeanor in all community spaces, including in-game, Discord, and the CMS.
• No Doxxing: Sharing or threatening to share another person's real-life personal information is grounds for immediate and permanent removal.

5. Roleplay Standards

• All roleplay must adhere to the community's established rules and department SOPs.
• Random Deathmatch (RDM), Vehicle Deathmatch (VDM), and failure to roleplay are prohibited.
• Members must maintain minimum activity requirements as defined by their department.
• Leave of Absence (LOA) forms must be submitted in advance for planned inactivity.

6. Applications & Membership

• Submitting false or misleading information on any application may result in denial and/or disciplinary action.
• Application decisions are at the sole discretion of community staff and are final unless an appeal process is available.
• Membership may be revoked at any time for violations of these Terms or community rules.
• Members who resign properly may be eligible for returning member applications, subject to community policies.

7. Disciplinary Actions

Staff may take disciplinary action for violations of these Terms or community rules, including but not limited to:

• Verbal or written warnings.
• Temporary suspension from servers or services.
• Demotion or removal from departmental positions.
• Permanent ban from the community.

Where applicable, members may submit appeals through the CMS. Appeals are reviewed by administration and outcomes are final.

8. Intellectual Property

All content created for the North Carolina State Roleplay CMS, including but not limited to code, designs, graphics, documentation, and community assets, is the property of North Carolina State Roleplay or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from community content without express permission.

9. Third-Party Services

Our community uses third-party platforms including Discord, FiveM (Cfx.re), and potentially TeamSpeak. Your use of these platforms is subject to their respective terms of service. We are not responsible for actions taken by these platforms or their policies.

10. Limitation of Liability

North Carolina State Roleplay is a volunteer-run gaming community. We provide our services "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of community services, including data loss, service interruptions, or actions of other members.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be announced through our Discord server or CMS. Continued participation in the community after changes are announced constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
